Ellen Kline Mabry is an associate attorney at Short Carter Morris. She graduated summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Ellen attended Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas where she graduated cum laude and received her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2008. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2008.
While in law school, Ellen served as an Associate Managing Editor for the International Law Review Association and as a judicial extern for the Honorable Harlan D. Hale in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. She also worked as a guardian and attorney ad litem in the W.W. Caruth, Jr. Child Advocacy Clinic.
After graduating from law school, Ellen married and moved to Houston. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Family Law Section of the Houston Bar Association, the Woodlands Bar Association, and the Montgomery County Bar Association.
